I thought might be happening, but just confirmed it.
You can also copy play count values saved in your music files to that field of MB database.
With this, you could update play count values of a new library using the values saved in your music files.
It only increases if I play a song from within i Tunes itself. Thanks in advance Andy I'm having the same problem.
Playcount and ratings in i Tunes seem to override playcount and ratings in the i Pod.
Media Monkey can sync your music, videos and playlists to your i Phone/i Pod/i Pad.
Sync includes basic metadata like Title, Artist, Album and Genre, but also Rating, Lyrics and a Artwork associated with the Album.Media Monkey will also sync tag changes and Play Counts back to Media Monkey when using Auto-Sync.If you have an i OS device like an i Phone, i Pad or i Pod Touch you'll need to have i Tunes installed. An alternative to i Tunes is Copy Trans Drivers which will only install the required i Tunes components for syncing, however this isn't officially supported by Apple or Media Monkey. It is set to auto update and I didn't make any changes to the song in i Tunes.I am using i Tunes 4.9 w/ 60gig i Pod running 1.1 software. No further software is needed, and it can operate from any folder.2. Depending on the view you are using, the “Plays” counter may not be visible without going to “Get Info” and then “File.”3.
