I put a breakpoint in the method the ODS is using, and noticed it was firing twice.
Data Bound event, and if we don't do that, it's doesn't fire twice.
What I have done to narrow down the problem:(1) Replace Object Data Source with an equivalent Access Data Source : same problem.(2) Check that sequence, parameter names and number of Bind("xxx") in Edit Item Template is identical to Object Data Source's parameter collection(3a) Create a new Test.aspx, using Access Data Source, update command works.(3b) Then I copy and paste the exact coding from the problem aspx to ....this modified works, to my amazement !!! This aspx works......until not knowing when.....update command problem happen again.
Repairs Tbl', so I added a call that did not require orig_Repair ID and now it works: public string Update Repair(Tracker Dot Net.control.
Can someone explain exactly how/when an Object Data Source fires? NET page, with a Grid View, which is referencing an ODS.
You can handle the Updated event to examine any return values, output parameters, and exceptions, and to perform any post-processing.
The method delegates to the Update method of the Object Data Source View that is associated with the Object Data Source control.
I've experienced this problem when we were hiding/showing gridview column dynamically in code.
Here is a page that talks about some issues that might cause multiple Selects it turned out to be just that, we're hiding/showing columns in the Grid View.
The weird thing is that when comment out the call to Method A, it happen when I let Method A and Method B both execute. Any idea what other code I might have that is asking the ODS for data?
