Although the construction is the tangible result of our work, we think what’s most important is the basic infrastructure of health and education for the development of the 300 children from Vizuresti,” says Zamfir Todor, Program Manager at Habitat for Humanity Romania.
The Saint-Gobain Initiatives Foundaiton sponsored this project with 35,000 euro in donation and gift-in-kind materials.
Today, along with volunteers from Vizuresti, across Romania and Northern Ireland, we’re giving this community new bathrooms for their school, a new community center and a completely renovated medical center.
All of this is possible thanks to donations like the ones received from Saint-Gobain Initiatives Foundaiton, Lindab and Lafarge.
“The Saint-Gobain Initiatives is proud to support this project which offers the community members of Vizuresti a better life,” says Dominique Elineau, Director of Responsible Development for the Saint-Gobain Group.
Lindab contributed to Big Build with their donation of the roof for the community center and indoor bathroom facility as well as a team of trained specialists who worked alongside volunteers for three days.
Lafarge, a consistent supporter of Habitat for Humanity Romania, played an important role by providing a team of 70 volunteers.
Erinmore Mixture pipe tobacco is perhaps the oldest blend of pipe tobacco around. This is why leaving your tobacco in sealed tins (or sealing it up in airtight mason jars) is considered the best method of long term storage and aging. Through the annual Big Build event, Habitat for Humanity Romania has helped 36 families build simple, decent, affordable homes. So while I was in Phoenix, I stopped by Ford and Haig The Tobacconist and picked up a tin of Dunhill Flake (My First). Tin Code: 1110020511 The way I read this tin date code is AM on Feb 05, 2011 (or May 2nd, as you prefer). They can get any information from the code they put on there as to lot and tinning date for internal quality control. Tobacco isn't actually "aging" in a vacuum sealed tin as there's no air exchange to mix and mingle the flavors.
